Car Wrap Installation

Full wraps, partial wraps, colour changes. Cars, utes, SUVs. Installed properly in a controlled workshop by people who know what they are doing.

A car wrap done well looks like the vehicle left the factory that way. A car wrap done badly looks like someone attacked it with contact paper. That is the difference installation makes. For car wrap installation Auckland vehicle owners actually trust, our Auckland vehicle wrapping team does this work every day out of our Swanson workshop. Full colour changes, partial accents, business branding, whatever the job calls for.

What is Car Wrap Installation?

Getting your car wrapped is not just about a colour change, though that is the obvious one. The vinyl layer sits over your factory paint and takes the beating instead. UV fade, stone chips, light scratches, all of that hits the wrap, not your original finish. Want a bold colour change? A subtle upgrade? Branded graphics for your work vehicle? Wrapping delivers the transformation, and it is fully reversible when you are done with it.

Our car wrap installation covers sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, utes, sports cars, and luxury vehicles. We handle full colour change wraps, partial wraps, roof wraps, bonnet wraps, mirror caps, and accent work using cast vinyl films from the brands that actually perform. Our team has wrapped everything from Corollas to Lamborghinis, and the tricky bits (bumpers, recessed panels, complex body lines) are where experience shows.

Auckland car owners from weekend enthusiasts to daily commuters trust Falcon Signs for wrap installations that look right, last properly, and do not embarrass them in the car park.

When You Need Us

When You Need Car Wrap Installation

1

Personal Style Transformation

A colour change wrap that reflects your taste without permanently altering the car. And if you get sick of it? Remove and start fresh.

2

Business Vehicle Branding

Your company car becomes a moving billboard everywhere you drive. Constant brand exposure through Auckland traffic, for the cost of one installation.

3

Paint Protection Investment

New car? The wrap shields factory paint from the elements. Pull it off in a few years and the original finish is sitting there preserved.

4

Pre-Sale Refreshment

An older car with tired paint scrubs up well under a wrap. Minor imperfections disappear and buyers see a clean, modern-looking vehicle.

5

Lease Vehicle Customisation

Personalise a lease car to your taste. When the lease ends, peel the wrap and hand it back at factory spec. No dramas.

6

Colour Change Without Commitment

Matte black this year, maybe something different next year. Wraps give you that freedom without the permanence of a respray.

7

Sports Car Styling

Accent wraps, racing stripes, full colour changes. Give a performance vehicle the look to match its character.

8

Fleet Vehicle Identification

Identical wraps across your company fleet. Consistent branding on the road, done once and applied across every vehicle.

9

Show Car Preparation

A wrap finish that photographs well and stands out at shows. Specialty finishes available that no paint shop could match.

10

Uber and Rideshare Branding

Make your rideshare vehicle memorable to passengers while protecting your own paintwork from heavy daily use.

Our Process

Our Car Wrap Installation Process

01

Initial Consultation

We talk about what you want. Specific colour, finish type, partial or full coverage, custom design. We also look at the car to check its condition and flag anything that needs attention first.

02

Vehicle Assessment

A thorough inspection of your paintwork and body panels. Existing damage, rust, dodgy previous repairs. All of that affects wrap adhesion and we need to know about it upfront.

03

Design and Colour Selection

Hundreds of options. Gloss, matte, satin, metallic, specialty finishes. We show you physical samples on your actual panels because colours look completely different on a curved surface than they do on a flat swatch.

04

Surface Preparation

Full clean, decontamination, wax and polish residue removal. Trim pieces that interfere with wrapping get carefully removed. The surface has to be spotless for the vinyl to bond properly.

05

Precision Installation

Panel by panel, heat guns and squeegees, vinyl conformed to every curve and contour on the car. Edges tucked into panel gaps so it looks factory, not aftermarket.

06

Detail Work and Finishing

Mirrors, door handles, body creases. The fiddly bits that separate a good wrap from a great one. Sealed edges, no bubbles, no wrinkles, no lifting.

07

Quality Inspection and Handover

We go over the whole car under different lighting to catch anything that is not right. You get the car back with care instructions and maintenance guidance.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Falcon Signs for Car Wrap Installation?

Installed by People Who Do This Daily

Post-heating, edge sealing, correct stretching techniques. Our installers know the methods that make wraps look right and last longer because they apply them every single day.

Vinyl That Actually Performs

Cast films designed specifically for vehicle wrapping. Better conformability around curves, better colour stability over time, less shrinkage than cheap alternatives.

Workshop, Not Driveway

Temperature controlled, dust-free, properly lit. You would not paint a car outside. Wrapping is no different.

Nothing Gets Skipped

We wrap bumpers, mirrors, spoilers, all the parts many shops avoid because they are difficult. Full coverage means the whole car matches.

Finishes Paint Cannot Match

Matte, satin, carbon fibre texture, brushed metal, colour-shift. Effects that are either impossible or prohibitively expensive in paint.

Factory Paint Stays Protected

The wrap is a shield. UV, stone chips, minor scratches all hit the vinyl. Remove the wrap later and the original paint is preserved underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions - Car Wrap Installation

All of them, basically. Sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, utes, sports cars, exotics. Different body shapes need different techniques, but we have worked on everything from everyday commuters to cars worth more than houses. The main consideration is not the car type, it is the condition of the existing paint.

The big difference? A wrap comes off. A respray permanently changes your vehicle. Wraps can be removed to reveal the original paint, they do not affect factory warranty, and you can change colour whenever you feel like it. Plus the vinyl layer protects the paint underneath while it is on. Try getting any of that from a respray.

Minor damage usually means replacing just the affected panel, not the whole wrap. We keep records of materials used so replacement sections match your existing wrap perfectly. Best to get damage sorted quickly though, before moisture works its way under the vinyl at the damaged spot.

Most factory colours are fine. Dark paints and strong metallics can sometimes show through lighter wraps at extreme stretch points, though. We check your specific vehicle and let you know if the combination of your paint colour and your chosen wrap could cause any issues.

Dents? No. Dents show through vinyl because the wrap conforms to the panel shape. Deep scratches can telegraph through as well. Light surface marks become less noticeable under a wrap, but if there is real damage, sort it out before wrapping. You will get a much better result.

Hand wash with mild car soap and a soft mitt. That is the core of it. No brush car washes (they catch wrap edges over time). Keep pressure washers away from seams and edges. Bird droppings and tree sap? Get them off fast. The acids eat into vinyl if they sit. We give you a full care rundown when you collect the car.

Gloss is your traditional shiny finish, closest to factory paint in look and feel. Matte is flat and non-reflective, popular for the modern, stealthy look it creates. Satin lands between the two with a soft sheen that is not quite flat, not quite shiny. Each looks and behaves differently. Matte and satin show fingerprints and water spots more easily, which is worth knowing upfront.
