Custom Flags

Personalised custom flag printing for businesses that need something beyond standard shapes and sizes.

Standard flag shapes don't work for every situation. Sometimes you need something specific. Our Auckland flag and banner specialists prints custom flags Auckland businesses and organisations design from scratch. We work with clients from Swanson and West Auckland across to Takapuna, Albany, and Browns Bay on the North Shore. Everything from corporate building flags to sports teams to advertising flag campaigns. If it's a flag and it's not off the shelf, that's our thing.

What are Custom Flags?

Total design freedom. Pick your shape, size, material. Pennant? Swallowtail? Something that fits an existing flagpole nobody makes skins for anymore? Double-sided with completely different artwork on each face? We've done all of that. Corporate flags, sports team flags, commemorative pieces, event banners. Describe it and we'll figure out how to print it.

We produce custom flags in unique shapes and sizes, single-sided and double-sided, with various fabric options, pole sleeves and grommets, rated for indoor or outdoor use, and supplied with complete mounting hardware. From design consultation through to finished flag delivery, our team handles artwork adaptation, colour matching, and material selection so the end result actually matches what you had in mind. For standard promo shapes, we also do teardrop flags.

Corporate offices, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and government agencies around Auckland keep coming back because we get the fiddly details right.

When You Need Us

When You Need Custom Flags

1

Corporate Headquarters and Office Buildings

A branded flag at the entrance tells visitors they're in the right place. Sets the tone before anyone even walks through reception. Simple thing, big impression.

2

Sports Teams and Clubs

Team colours, mascots, crests. Custom flags build team identity and add atmosphere at home grounds. The fans get into them too, which doesn't hurt.

3

Schools and Educational Institutions

House flags, school flags, event flags. They build pride, help students feel part of something bigger, and make the campus recognisable to visitors who have never been before.

4

Community Events and Festivals

Unique flag designs give events their own identity. People start recognising the flags year after year and it becomes part of the brand.

5

Government and Council Facilities

Council buildings and public facilities need flags for identification and civic identity. Clean, dignified, immediately recognisable. Nothing flashy.

6

Religious Organisations and Churches

Processional flags, seasonal displays, facility identification. Designs that reflect specific traditions and symbols the way they should be represented.

7

Hotel and Hospitality Branding

Hotels and resorts fly branded flags at entrances and throughout the property. Reinforces the brand everywhere guests look. Adds a bit of class, honestly.

8

Franchise and Multi-Site Businesses

Same flag design across multiple locations keeps the brand tight. We adjust sizing or mounting for different sites while the look stays identical.

9

Commemorative and Memorial Flags

Anniversaries, memorials, significant milestones. Some occasions deserve something more meaningful than a stock promotional flag.

10

Marine and Yacht Club Flags

Burgees, vessel identification, maritime ceremony flags. Yacht clubs and boat owners have specific traditions around flag design. We know those rules and respect them.

Our Process

Our Custom Flags Process

01

Design Consultation and Briefing

Tell us what you're after. Could be a detailed design, a rough sketch on the back of an envelope, or just an idea rattling around your head. We work with whatever you've got and turn it into a proper flag specification.

02

Artwork Development and Review

We take your brief and develop artwork for flag production. Not everything that works on screen translates well to fabric, so we'll flag what needs adjusting and prepare production-ready files.

03

Colour Matching and Material Selection

We match your brand colours as closely as possible and pick the right fabric. Indoor flags can use lighter, finer materials. Outdoor flags need something tougher. Different jobs, different fabrics. Pretty straightforward.

04

Size and Hardware Specification

Lock in dimensions and sort out mounting. Pole sleeves, grommets, something custom. Whatever the display method needs.

05

Digital Proofing and Approval

You see a digital proof before anything gets printed. Colours, positioning, layout. Once you approve it, we go to production. No surprises that way.

06

Production and Quality Control

Dye-sublimation printing puts the colour into the fabric fibres, not sitting on top waiting to peel off. We check print accuracy, stitching, and finish throughout the run.

07

Final Inspection and Delivery

Every flag gets a final check before it ships. Print, stitching, hardware. It arrives at your door ready to hang.

Any shape, any size, any design. No catalogue to flip through. Custom flags go wherever your imagination takes them, well past what standard promo formats offer.

Exact Brand Matching

We use Pantone matching to nail your brand colours. Your logo gets reproduced accurately so the flag actually represents your organisation the way it should.

Multiple Material Options

Lightweight and fine for indoor display. Heavier and tougher for outdoor exposure. Specialty options for demanding applications. We match the fabric to the job.

Flexible Mounting Solutions

Pole sleeves for flagpoles, grommets for rope attachment, D-rings for indoor hanging. Or something bespoke if your display setup is unusual. We've seen some odd ones.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

We build flags for wherever they need to go. Corporate lobbies, building facades, or both. Materials and construction get matched to the environment.

Holds Up Over Time

Reinforced edges, solid stitching, durable print. The flag looks good on day one and keeps looking that way through repeated use and weather.

Frequently Asked Questions - Custom Flags

Pretty much any shape. Rectangles, pennants, swallowtails, gonfalons, burgees, or something completely original you've sketched yourself. Curved or complex shapes might need heat-cut edges to stop fraying, but we sort the right finishing for whatever shape you throw at us.

Three main ones. 110gsm knitted polyester for standard outdoor flags. 160gsm woven polyester when you need heavier, more durable fabric. Satin-finish for indoor corporate displays where drape and appearance matter more. We'll recommend based on where it's going.

They can. Double-sided flags use separate printed panels with an opaque blocking layer between them. Completely different artwork on front and back, zero show-through. Handy when you need different logos or messages visible from different directions.

Pole sleeves for flagpoles. Grommets for rope attachment or horizontal display. D-rings for indoor hanging systems. Or something custom if your setup is unusual. We figure out the right mounting based on where and how the flag goes up.

Give us your Pantone references. Screen colours vary between devices and honestly aren't reliable for matching. We use Pantone matching on all flag materials. If the colours are really critical, we can run a test print on your chosen fabric before the full production run.

Bring them inside during storms and high winds. For cleaning, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent and air dry completely. Roll loosely for storage rather than folding. Tight folds leave creases in the fabric that basically never come out.

Dye-sublimation doesn't do metallic inks. But we can design colour gradients that simulate metallic effects pretty convincingly. The prints come out vibrant with solid detail and durability. If you absolutely need a true metallic finish, there may be alternative methods available for specific applications.
